FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is an agreement signed on screen valid?
Yes. For a private car sale Austria law requires no particular form – the agreement is concluded when both parties agree; the document mainly serves as evidence. The on-screen signature is a simple electronic signature with signing evidence (date, time, IP, device, content hash). The agreement itself is always in German.
When do I pay?
Only once everyone has signed. You choose who gets the payment link. If the other party doesn't sign, nobody pays. After payment you both receive the sealed original by email.
What must the seller do after the sale?
Deregister the car at a registration office (the plates usually stay with the seller) and inform the insurer. We remind you by email.
What about warranty?
In private sales the statutory warranty is usually excluded – except for defects the seller fraudulently concealed. So list known defects and accident damage honestly.
Can two people sell or buy together?
Yes. Add a second seller or buyer – everyone is in the agreement and signs.
What happens to my data?
It is only used for the agreement and reminders and is deleted automatically after the deadlines (60 days by default). Only the parties know the link.
